So, I wrote this post on Tuesday before my water broke, but I never got around to posting it. Instead of rewriting it in present tense, just bear with me and pretend you don't know she is already here.
38 weeks:
I can't believe we are so close to meeting our darling little Eva. Just 2 more weeks! I am relieved that she hasn't come earlier because I have been busy busy busy! This past weekend, we took our last trip to the lake as a family of 6. My doctor didn't want me to get in the lake water, but it was fun just to relax and hang out. We were worried that I might go into labor while we were down there, so we packed our hospital bag just in case. Luckily, nothing happened. This is my last week of work. It's crazy to think about that. Soon, my main job will be being a mommy for the first time.

Last week, Andy and I finished up our final baby purchases! It feels good to have everything we need purchased. I just need to find a place for everything! It's hard to organize things how I want them when I'm not sure what I am going to use the most.
At 38 weeks, Eva is the size of a pumpkin! She continues to put on a few ounces each week, and further develops her lungs. She is definitely running out of room in there! Her jabs and kicks have turned into churning and stretching, poor thing! It feels like she is so much lower and yet still so high in my belly. I think she has just gotten so big that she fills my entire torso up! Not much longer until she can stretch out as much as she wants though :)
